# TRON wallet Telegram alerts without a server

Updated: 2026-10-19. https://tronhooks.com/docs/use-cases/telegram-alerts/

Get Telegram messages for incoming or outgoing USDT/TRX transfers on a TRON mainnet address without hosting a webhook receiver. tronhooks reads finalized transfers; it never asks for wallet private keys.

## Setup

1. Sign in to the [console](/app?intent=telegram-alert).
2. Choose **Connect Telegram** and complete the one-time binding in the intended chat. Confirm the displayed chat identity before proceeding.
3. Add the address, choose USDT/TRX/ALL and incoming/outgoing/both, then choose Telegram as the target.
4. Review and create the watch. It starts matching new transfers after a short activation delay.

The binding link can bind another person's chat if you share it. It expires after ten minutes and is single-use; keep it private. Rebinding can move the destination, so always verify the chat identity.

## Configure with an API or assistant

After Telegram is connected, use `telegram: true` instead of `webhook_url` in `POST /v1/watches`. There is no webhook signing secret for this target. An assistant should prepare a configuration preview and let you finish identity binding yourself. See [AI setup](/docs/ai/).

## Why there may be no message

- The transfer happened before the watch became active.
- The asset or direction does not match; ALL covers only USDT and TRX.
- The transaction is not yet finalized.
- The Telegram bot is blocked, removed or cannot post to the selected chat; inspect delivery status.
- The address is quiet. No event alone does not prove a broken watch.

The console test button sends a real message. You can inspect configuration without using it. Free accounts have three active-watch slots, no daily event cap; normal platform queueing and Telegram delivery limits still apply.

These are transfer alerts, not a running wallet balance or a low-balance alarm. [Compare the requirements](/docs/use-cases/balance-alerts/).
